Korean police arrested creators of the bot for Sudden Attack
Three people were arrested on suspicion of developing a bot for Sudden Attack in the Republic of Korea. The algorithm was created to bypass the anti-cheat system embedded into the game. They allegedly earned over $356 thousand over the last year.
Authors monetized their cheat algorithm using 2 payment models. They offered a weekly fee of $44.5 or a monthly fee of $89 for using the bot. Besides that, users that did not pay the fee got their computers infected with a dangerous virus.
Korean authorities take a serious approach to cyber fraud – in case the suspects turn out to be guilty, they will receive a stern punishment.back to list
