The Madison Square Garden Company invests in the e-sports club
Owners of the New York-based sports complex Madison Square Garden have decided to invest in the multi-gaming e-sports club called Counter-Logic Gaming (CLG). The details of the agreement are not disclosed, but it has been already officially approved.
The Madison Square Garden company previously invested only in traditional sports: its portfolio includes deals with professional basketball and hockey teams. The American e-sports organization CLG was founded back in 2010, but it is for the first time that it will be officially sponsored.
Counter-Logic Gaming consists of two LoL teams, three CS:GO teams, and H1Z1, Overwatch, and Super Smash Bros teams. The club also has a team of 12 video game streamers.back to list
