Visually impaired cyberathlete from the Netherlands stunned Street Fighter fans

Street Fighter 5 player from the Netherlands Sven Van de Wege took part in a recent Sonic Boom tournament. He was not the strongest among the competitors, but won a general applause for his perseverance and will power as he competed being absolutely blind.

During the match, Sven kept his eyes closed focusing on the sounds. Even though sometimes he was on the edge of defeat, he still managed to win over the seeing cyberathlete Musashi.

As Sven Van de Wege admits, he is not the best player in the game, but he enjoys both the competition and the possibility to prove that visually impaired people have equal rights in eSports.
